Montly Update: Graduation into Adolescence

The core of the game is set! The basics of the game work and are playtester approved! Now the game is moving into that awkward teenager phase with loud music and pimple popping. It is time to answer questions like what additional mechanics can be added? What should be removed? What can it do without? Time for the game to get more mature while staying to the original vision.

Here is a recent playtest with some experts. It is on the prototype board, but it has a lot of the updated mechanics. Having a nearby fruit bowl is optional. :-)

After a recent playtest we analyze the power of each card. One of the play-testers put them into impromptu tiered categories. What a great idea!

Here we talk about a new mechanic: having donations spread around the board. This is a new direction in the game. It adds more overhead (rules, mental capacity, etc.), but it really ramps up the fun factor and gives players direction and focus! A fair trade off? Only time and more playtests will tell!

The new Donation pieces are staring to take form. They are a hit so far! Need to find the right balance. Can't flood the market with too many of them, but they can't be too scare either.

In this playtest we tried a ratio of about 7% (3), 29% (2), and the balance for (1).

Thanks for your time and interest!
